Jessica Anne Chaffee

She was a member of the Miami University Senior Varsity and Collegiate Varsity Synchronized Skating Teams. She was an International Synchronized Skating competitor as well as an instructor and choreographer at the Miami University skating rink and is a member of USFS, ISI, and PSA. She is a Gold Medalist in Moves in the Field and a Bronze Medalist in dance. She has been an instructor at SkateQuest since 2007.

Traci Coleman

She has been coaching for 25 years. She teaches skaters of all levels from beginners to International and World competitors. Her students have qualified and won medals at Regional, Sectional, Junior National, National and International competitions. She has trained athletes to this level of success on both East and West coasts. She currently coaches national champions and skaters in the Junior Grand Prix and Grand Prix series. She is the first recipient of the Developmental Coach Award from the PSA…”in recognition of new talent and superior teaching technique for a coach who has a career record of helping athletes develop to higher levels of the sport and as human beings.”

Anne Davis

She is a retired gymnast and began skating as an adult. She joined Ice Force One Adult Masters Synchronized Team and competed at Individual Bronze and Silver Adult Freestyle levels. She is currently working on her Gold level test and competes with DC Edge Adult Masters Team. She loves introducing figure skating to children and adults.

Cherie Farrington

She is an ISI Gold Certified Judge and PSA double Master Rated Coach, which includes several sports science exams in figure skating bio-mechanics and injury prevention. Since 1990 she has coached in the Washington, DC area and has been at SkateQuest Reston since its opening. Students benefit by her ability to instill a love for the sport and are motivated by positive interaction with specific direction. Through participation in low cost, high fun ISI competitions, students enjoy Spotlight routines and group production numbers while gaining an understanding of a variety of aspects in figure skating. Students may also participate in USFS competitions. She specializes in First-Step Fundamentals, Choreography, Moves in the Field, and Freestyle: jumps, spins, footwork, and program design. She is a member of PSA, ISI, USFS, and the WFSC.

Marilyn Jones

She is a retired Fairfax County School Teacher. Marilyn has completed one gold ice dance, and enjoys teaching beginners of all ages.

Lana Jones

She is a skating enthusiast and has been skating for 17 years. Through the years, she has had recreational training in Pairs and Dance, but her focus has been on Freestyle. She is a mother of two small children and teaches skating from ages two through adult. Lana is a PSA and USFS member and continues to skate herself, not only for her love of the sport, but in order to continue her education. Her focus is helping students find a beauty and satisfaction in self expression through art of figure skating.

Elizabeth Kiken

She is a USFS double gold medalist in Dance and Free dance, and has her Novice Freestyle and 7th Figure. She has competed and performed in numerous shows across the county. She has earned her basic accreditation with the PSA, and has been teaching at SkateQuest Reston for almost 8 years. She is available for private freestyle and dance lessons in English or French.

Linda Kimble

She is a USFS double gold medalist in Figures and Freestyle. She coaches all levels of power skating, from beginning skaters to college players, and all ages, from pre-school to adult. Most of her instruction is private or semi-private lessons but she works with teams and clubs as well. She has taught a student selected in the 2009 OHL Draft and the 2009 USHL Futures Draft, prep school and college club players, and USA Hockey Nationals Festival Camp attendees as well as NCAA division I and III players. Coaching is not her only job, but has been her passion for the last 30 years. For the past 14 years she has focused primarily on power skating, geared specifically to the needs of hockey players.

Serguei Kouznetsov

He is the 1991 Russian National Silver medalist and the 1992 Cup of Russia Men's Gold medalist. He was a principal skater for Disney on Ice. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education. He is a Junior Worlds, International, National, Sectional and Junior National level coach. He is available to teach all levels. He is a member of USFS, PSA and ISI.

Marion Monaghan

She was born and raised in Canada and moved to the U.S. three years ago. She started skating as a teenager and has 1 Senior Silver CFSA Ice Dance. She is currently a member of the PSA and WFSC as an Adult synchronized skater. She has been skating for the DC EDGE MASTERS for 3 years and has been to over 15 synchronized skating Canadian and U.S. Nationals.

Jennifer Montgomery

She is a USFS Silver level Dancer, who is available to teach Basic Skills through Freestyle 1. Jennifer teaches both private and group lessons at SkateQuest, and is a member of the PSA, United States Figure Skating, and ISI.

Olga Neizvestnaya

She is a Russian National Junior Pairs champion, Junior Worlds Bronze Medalist, International competitor, and a member of a Russian National team for six years. She was a principal skater with Disney on Ice, Moscow on Ice, and Russian All Stars. She has 12 years of teaching experience and has worked with National, International, World and Olympic skaters. She specializes in Freestyle, Pairs, and Moves in the Field.

Megan Noss

She is a USFS Gold Medalist in both Freestyle and Moves in the Field. She is a member of the PSA, USFS and an ISI Gold judge. As a competitive skater, Megan was a South Atlantic Regional medalist and Eastern Sectional competitor. She graduated from George Mason University with a B.S. in Psychology and a Minor in Dance. She is available to teach all levels of Freestyle and Moves in the Field, as well as off-ice training and choreography.

Chrissy Stauffer-O’Connor

She won the National and International Synchronized Skating title with her Miami University of Ohio Synchronized skating team. She was ranked 9th as a member of the US Figure Skating World team. She has been the coach of the Capitol Steps for 4 years, and has taught private lessons in Moves, Dance, Freestyle, and Stroking for 2.5 years. She is a USFS Gold Medalist in Dance, Free Dance, and Moves in the Field. She is a member of the PSA and USFS.

Donna Reed

She is a U.S. and Canadian Gold Medalist in Figures, Freestyle, and Dance. She trained at Lake Placid Olympic center and is a Junior Nationals coach. She teaches all ages competitively and recreationally in Freestyle, Moves in the Field and Basic Skills. She is a member of the USFS, PSA, and WFSC.

Jessica Richards

She is a Double Gold Medalist in Freestyle and Moves in the Field. She competed numerous times at the higher levels at Eastern Sectionals by qualifying through South Atlantic Regionals. She competed at every level in the USFS competitive structure. Currently she is attending George Mason University majoring in English with a focus in creative writing. She has a long history at SkateQuest, as this was her home rink during her 13 years of competitive skating.

Vasiliy Serkov

Vasiliy started skating at the age of three. He was trained by the best coaches in the World. He has earned a title of Latvian Champion, as well as, multiple medals of the Cup of Russia. He has competed representing Latvia, United States of America, and Germany. Vasiliy took part in U.S. Nationals, and European World Championships. He has more than a decade of teaching experience. He is PSA Master in: Sport and Health, and Dance. He is also Moves senior rated.

Luiz Taifas

Romanian National Champion. Balkan Champion. World, European, International competitor and medallist, for over 10 years. Member of Romanian Olympic Team, member of Romanian National Team for 14 years. Over 10 years of coaching experience with multiple success stories. Specializes in Freestyle figure skating, jump & spin, stroking, off-ice conditioning classes, and choreography. Excellent with children. Ability to recognize talent from a very young age, and taking kids to higher levels. In short, as he himself humbly puts it: “ He’s GOOD!”

Nataliya Tymoshenko

She graduated from the Kiev University of Physical Education and Sport with a degree in Figure Skating. After graduating, she was a principal skater in the Ukraine Ballet on Ice, Cypress Gardens Ice Skating Show, Seattle Ice Theater, Magic on Ice, and Wheeler Productions. She is available to teach private lessons in Freestyle and Moves in the Field.

Carissa Green-Tambaschi

She trained under the prestigious coaching staff at the University of Delaware, with a specialization in Ice Dancing for several years. While in Delaware she became a two-time US National medalist in Ice Dancing. Carissa has her USFS and CFSA Gold medal in Ice Dancing, Novice freestyle test, and fourth figure test. She is currently a three-time US National and International coach in Ice Dancing. She has also held large roles coaching International Freestyle skaters. Her students have attended Nationals, Junior Nationals, Sectionals, and Regional Championships. Carissa’s strengths include Ice Dancing, choreography, moves in the field and intricate skating skills for power hockey. Her focus is to help each student achieve their goals by helping them pursue a competitive dream as either Figure or Hockey skaters. She is a member of the PSA and USFS.

Barbara McDonnell Walker

She is a triple-gold medalist in Dance, Free dance, and Moves in the Field. She is a two-time Adult National Gold Medalist and continues to compete at national and international events. She has 12 years teaching experience and is available to teach all ages in Dance, Freestyle, and Moves in the Field..

Geremi Weiss Howard

She teaches Figure Skating and Power Skating to all ages. She was a USFS Double Gold Medalist, USFS International Gold medalist, Power Skating coach for the Beltway team, and has 29 years of exercise on the ice. She is a certified AFAA personal trainer. She has 16 years of exercise off-ice sports conditioning expertise. Her philosophy is positive reinforcement, fun, and safety with positive results.
