These classes are necessary for enhancing skating skills and performance and also to reduce and/or prevent skating related injuries.
Skaters need to be physically strong and well conditioned in order to best perform their programs and compete throughout the year. Skaters attempt difficult technical skills on-ice, with many repetitions everyday. Particularly young skaters with immature bodies risk serious musculoskeletal injuries. Proper conditioning classes can help prevent injuries from an early age.
