SkateQuest Reston Blossom Skate 2010

SkateQuest Reston’s ISI Competition will be held on May 2010. The exact date will be determined by December 2009.

Everyone, regardless of ability, and level, may participate in this competition. This particular competition is designed to be a low pressure, fun event. There are no more than 5 children per group and everyone takes a medal or ribbon home!

All participants need to be a member of ISI. If you are not already a member, please visit www.skateisi.com to join. Please click on individual membership enrollment, and fill in the required fields. Your membership is effective immediately. The fee is $13 for the entire year.

The cost depends on the level: Tot-Delta $35, Freestyle 1-10 $40, and any additional events $10. In addition, everyone must pay a one-time $2 District IV fee.

Five to eight private lessons are recommended with an instructor as he/she will put together a skating routine for your child. One lesson a week for a period of 5 to 8 weeks is adequate to learn a basic program. However, more may be required to feel prepared, and additional practice is extremely important.
Costs for a private lesson vary depending on the instructor. Lessons range from $30-$45 per half hour. Lessons may be arranged during basic skills, public skating, or freestyle sessions. Additional ice fees will apply.

If you need an instructor, Please fill out a form at the front desk, with your name, number, and availability. An instructor will contact you in the next few days to set up your first lesson.

What are you waiting for, healthy fun is right around the corner.
